Oval: CreekLab

The CreekLab is a replica that mimics a riffle and pool stream habitat as that found in our local Clifty Creek Watershed. The aquarium model functions as a micro-ecosystem. All of the aquatic life such as fish, invertebrates, plants and algae were collected from local streams. Don't miss our friendly frogs and crayfish!

The RiverLab is an interactive water flow table that is the traveling component of our museum exhibit. The RiverLab is designed to represent a variety of conditions in our watershed such as sedimentation, formation of water bodies, movement of water, and human impacts.

Clifty Creek Watershed Project staff and our partners provide multiple educational opportunities for students, agricultural producers, and interested community members. View our events pages for upcoming educational events. The project has two educational displays for use in the community. The CreekLab can be seen at kidscommons children’s museum in Columbus, IN.
